Book your bridal makeup in Kasur at least 4–6 weeks before your first event — earlier in wedding season (November to February), when good dates fill first. Do your last facial 7–10 days before, hair services 3–5 days before, and mehndi 2 days before the Barat so the stain is at its darkest. Full week-by-week timeline below.
Glow Beauty Salon Kasur · Steel Bagh Chowk · Updated November 2026
Every wedding season, the same thing happens at our salon. A bride walks in three days before her Barat, stressed, asking if everything can still be done. Most of it can — we work it out — but she spends her wedding week running around instead of enjoying it. The brides who are calm on their day are not the ones with the biggest budget. They are the ones who followed a simple timeline. Here is the one we give our own Kasur brides.
As soon as your dates are fixed — and in season, that means 4–6 weeks ahead, sometimes more. Kasur has a limited number of experienced bridal makeup artists, and in November–February the same few weekends carry most weddings. If your Nikah, Barat and Walima fall on a popular date, the salon you want may already be booked by another dulhan from your own street.
Booking early also changes the quality of the work. It gives us time for your trial, your skin prep plan, and a relaxed discussion about your look — instead of deciding your Barat face in a ten-minute hurry.
| When | What to do | Why this timing |
|---|---|---|
| 6–4 weeks before | Book all event dates (Mehndi, Nikah, Barat, Walima) + book your makeup trial | Dates lock in; trial is a paid service, so book it like any other appointment |
| 4–3 weeks before | Makeup trial + start pre-bridal facials (1 session) | We test your Barat look on your skin, and note how your skin reacts |
| 2 weeks before | Second facial if your skin needs it; finalise hair colour / treatment | No new experiments after this point |
| 7–10 days before | Last facial. Threading and waxing done in this window | Skin settles; no redness risk on the day |
| 3–5 days before | Hair services: cut, colour touch-up, keratin smoothing if planned | Hair sits naturally by the event, not stiff and new |
| 2 days before | Mehndi application | Stain is darkest 48 hours after application — that is your Barat day |
| Event days | Makeup + hair + dupatta setting at the salon, in event order | Arrive with a clean, moisturised face and front-open shirt |
Skin first, hair second, mehndi third, makeup last — and nothing new in the final week. The order matters because each service affects the next. A facial too close to the wedding can leave skin sensitive under foundation. Fresh hair colour needs a few washes to look natural in photos. And mehndi done on the event day itself will photograph orange-brown, not the deep maroon every bride wants.
One thing we tell every bride: if a product, facial or treatment is new to your skin, its test date is a month before the wedding, never the wedding week. Wedding week is for repeating what already worked.
1. Your Barat timing decides your whole day. If your baraat is at 8 pm, your makeup chair time is not 7 pm. Base, hair, dupatta setting and photos need a calm 2 to 2.5 hours. Brides who book the last slot and rush are the ones whose dupatta pins come loose during the rukhsati.
2. Kasur's winter weddings are a skin problem, not a makeup problem. From November to January, the dry cold here makes foundation cling to dry patches. The fix is not more makeup — it is the facial-and-moisturiser routine in the 3 weeks before. We can always tell, from the chair, which brides did their prep and which ones are hoping makeup alone will do it.
We regularly get brides from Pattoki, Chunian and Kot Radha Kishan for their event days. If you are travelling in, book your dates earlier than a Kasur-city bride — travel time on a wedding day is real, and winter fog on these roads is not a small thing. Keep your trial and prep sessions on one trip where possible, and your event-day appointments in the earlier slots, so the road never decides your schedule.
Send your event dates on WhatsApp and we will confirm your slots and your prep plan in one message. You can see our bridal work on the Nikah, Walima & Engagement Makeup page and the full Bridal Makeup service page, plan your skin prep on the Facial page and your henna on the Mehndi page — or visit us at Steel Bagh Chowk, Kasur. In normal months, 3–4 weeks is comfortable. In wedding season (November to February), book 4–6 weeks ahead — popular weekend dates fill first.
Yes, especially for the Barat look. A trial is a paid service at our salon, done 3–4 weeks before, so your wedding day has no surprises — the look, the shades and the timing are already decided.
7–10 days before your first event. This gives your skin time to settle and glow, without any redness or sensitivity on the day itself.
Two days before the Barat. Mehndi colour deepens for about 48 hours after application, so a 2-day gap gives you the darkest stain on the day it matters.
Yes — most of our brides book all their events with us. Each event gets its own look: softer for Nikah, full bridal for Barat, fresh and elegant for Walima.
Not always. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates — if a slot is open, we will build you a compressed prep plan. It will be a busy week, but it is done every season.
